Suitcase Stories: Discovering Masonic Ancestors
December 10 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Freemasons carry their masonic life in a special suitcase often later uncovered by family members. Each suitcase tells a unique and sometimes hidden story about the owner.
At the Museum of Freemasonry Archives we will help you unlock these stories with our free workshop led by expert archivists.
We will provide an introduction to freemasonry and tips on how to go about researching your ancestor’s masonic life. Using the rich resources in our collections you can add fascinating details to your family history. You might discover more than you think.
You are welcome to bring along your own laptop or tablet to continue research after the workshop, or take advantage of our free Ancestry terminals to aid your research.
This workshop will take place in the Grand Officers’ Robing Room, Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ. Enter through the Museum of Freemasonry.
Space for this free workshop is limited so book your place now.
