Women and Freemasonry: Commemorative Pendant
Women and Freemasonry: Commemorative Pendant

To mark its centenary the Order of Women Freemasons commissioned the newest addition to the select number of commemorative pieces which the organisation has produced - a pendant. The design, in pale blue incorporates three pillars – Ionic, Doric and Corinthian representing wisdom, strength and beauty.  There is a matching set of gown clips. On display at the exhibition Women and Freemasonry: The Centenary in the Library and Museum at Freemasons’ Hall, London until 19th December 2008 are earlier commemorative pieces. Together they provide an interesting comparison of the changing styles of these pieces and how commemorative events have been marked.
